Ingredients
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup (170g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 oz (115g) high-quality white chocolate, melted
- ¾ cup (180ml) whole milk
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch cake pans.
2️⃣ Melt the white chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in short intervals. Let it cool slightly.
3️⃣ Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
4️⃣ Mix in vanilla and melted white chocolate.
5️⃣ In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
6️⃣ Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with flour.
7️⃣ Divide batter between the pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
8️⃣ Cool completely before frosting.
Notes
Ganache Frosting:
- 6 oz (170g) white chocolate, chopped
- ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
1️⃣ Heat cream until simmering, pour over chocolate.
2️⃣ Stir until smooth, let it cool slightly before spreading.
