Instructions
Follow these steps to bring Meghan Markle’s one pot pasta to your table, infused with the love and warmth of a family kitchen:
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onions are translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the cherry tomatoes, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Stir well and allow the tomatoes to soften slightly, about 2 minutes.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a gentle boil.
- Add the pasta to the pot, ensuring it is submerged in the broth. Reduce heat to a simmer and cover the pot.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente and the liquid has mostly absorbed.
- Remove from heat and let it sit for a minute. Toss in fresh basil leaves just before serving to add a burst of freshness.
- Serve warm, topped with grated Parmesan cheese, and savor each bite, knowing it’s filled with the essence of home and family.
