Apple Cinnamon Swirl Loaf

A soft and moist apple loaf with a warm cinnamon sugar swirl, perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • Dry Ingredients:

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • Wet Ingredients:

    • 3/4 cup milk
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 cup apples, peeled and finely chopped
  • Cinnamon Swirl:

    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
  • In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in chopped apples.
  • Pour half the batter into the greased loaf pan.
  • Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Repeat with remaining batter and cinnamon sugar.
  • Use a knife to swirl the mixture gently.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Best enjoyed warm with butter or cream cheese.
  • Can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Freezes well for up to 3 months.
